LEGO Icons Modular Building: Natural History Museum 🤩

This was one of the very first big sets I ever tackled — all 4014 pieces of it, plus 7 minifigures who supervised the whole process. And honestly? This was the set that pushed me straight over the edge into full LEGO addiction. No regrets. It’s still my absolute favorite, and I’m obsessed! It even convinced me to buy more Modular Buildings… which will make their grand appearance in future posts 😆

Inside the museum, things get even more exciting. They somehow squeezed in a giant brachiosaurus skeleton that stretches through a two-story atrium — because of course a dinosaur needs dramatic ceiling height. 😅🦕

The set is packed with fun themes and tiny surprises during the build, including:

  • Astronomy (yes, you literally count the planets — educational AND adorable)
  • Ancient artifacts
  • Treasures from LEGO’s history (my inner nerd was thriving)

There’s even a curator’s office closed to visitors — probably because the curator needs a break from all the excited minifigure tourists. 😄

Plus a telescope and various space-related bits. 🔭🤩 Because what museum is complete without a sprinkle of cosmic chaos?

And let’s not forget: 7 minifigures + 1 dog — the dog being, naturally, the hardest worker of them all.

One of the minifigures is actually based on a real LEGO designer who appears in the set as… a window cleaner. 🥰😉 Honestly, that’s iconic.

This set is absolutely one of my top favorites. It fits perfectly with the rest of my growing Modular Buildings collection — but more on that later. Let’s just say the city is expanding, property prices are rising, and my minifigures are thriving.

Soon I’ll be setting up my full Winter Village Christmas town — with lights, of course. I also still have to finish my Home Alone House with custom lighting (a project that may or may not require snacks, patience, and emotional support). And then there’s last year’s Winter Village set, Santa’s Post Office! 🎄🤶🏻🎅

So yes… things are getting festive, chaotic, and very, very brick-filled.
